Overview
Cookies are small files placed on your device when a browser loads a site. They can be session-based (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (remaining until their expiry date or until you erase them). Similar technologies include pixel tags or JavaScript storage APIs such as localStorage and sessionStorage.
Wristzoicartilag uses only a narrow set of strictly necessary storage keys by default. Optional analytics or marketing technologies respect the consent interface implemented on the website and do not initialise unless you opt in.

Where consent is required, we obtain it through the banner before optional storage occurs. Strictly necessary technologies are exempt from consent because they enable the service you explicitly requested—for example, remembering that you already answered the banner.
Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies are essential to deliver the website reliably:
- Consent state container. We store a JSON object in
localStorage under the key tdde_cookie_prefs_v1. It contains boolean flags for analytics and marketing preferences and an ISO timestamp of the last update. Without this entry, you would see the banner on every page load, which would degrade usability.
- Security and transport controls. Our hosting environment may set transient cookies to balance load across servers or resist automated abuse. Those cookies are rotated frequently and are not used for advertising.
Because they are strictly necessary, the toggles in Cookie Settings cannot disable these entries. You may still clear them manually through your browser if you wish to reset preferences entirely.
Analytics technologies
Analytics helps us understand aggregated traffic patterns—such as which articles are read most often or whether navigation menus perform adequately on mobile devices. If you enable analytics, we may load a vendor script that sets first-party or third-party cookies, depending on configuration.
When you select Reject, or disable analytics in Cookie Settings and save, those scripts do not execute on subsequent page loads unless you later opt in again. Historical aggregated datasets may remain in analytics dashboards but will not be tied to new browsing once consent is withdrawn.
Marketing and advertising measurement
Marketing cookies or pixels measure whether visitors arrived from advertising campaigns and whether certain landing pages convert into enquiries. This category remains disabled unless you switch it on. Even when enabled, we configure tags to minimise the collection of free-form personal data.
If we integrate with advertising partners in the future, they will appear as named recipients in an updated version of this policy and in records available on request.
Content delivery networks and icon fonts
We load Remix Icon stylesheet files from https://cdn.jsdelivr.net over HTTPS. That request may transmit your IP address and User-Agent to the provider’s edge servers for fulfilment and security logging. Those logs are governed by the provider’s own privacy policy and retention schedule. To reduce external calls, you may self-host fonts in custom deployments.
Typical retention periods
Session cookies expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies used by analytics vendors often expire between six and twenty-four months unless you clear them sooner. Our consent record persists until you erase site data or update preferences.
Browser-level controls
Major browsers provide tools to block third-party cookies, delete existing cookies, or signal tracking preferences. Because implementations differ, consult documentation for Safari, Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. Mobile operating systems offer additional reset options in privacy settings.
How to withdraw consent
You may reopen the choices panel by clearing tdde_cookie_prefs_v1 and reloading the page, which restores the banner. Alternatively, contact us and we can describe how to reset preferences on your device type.
